Lauren Loney

Prior to entering the actuarial field, Lauren practiced as an endodontist in Ankeny, Iowa. She earned her DDS at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and completed her endodontics residency training at Marquette University School of Dentistry. During her residency, Lauren led a research study analyzing the success of root canals in children, which utilized over a decade of claims data from Wisconsin. This research sparked a passion for data analysis, which inspired her transition from clinical dentistry to the actuarial profession. Since transitioning to the actuarial field, Lauren has enjoyed applying her clinical background in the dental insurance industry.
