Joël is a consulting actuary in the Amsterdam office of Milliman and joined the firm in 2007. He and his team carry out consulting missions in the Netherlands and Belgium. Prior to this, he worked nine years for Ernst & Young Actuaries as senior manager (non-life and asset risk management).
Experience
Joël has performed a wide range of actuarial consulting missions and actuarial certification and audit assignments for a variety of clients, mainly large Dutch insurers. He advises clients in the areas of statutory reserving, liability adequacy testing, valuations, reporting, pricing, economic capital and risk management. At Ernst & Young he was also responsible for the implementations and verifications of the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) for Asset Managers. He is primarily a non-life actuary (Property & Casualty and Disability), but also has life experience.
