Our wealth of experience enables us to offer a high standard of actuarial services to life insurance companies, friendly societies, and regulatory bodies. Our services include Actuarial Function Holder roles and acting as With-Profits Actuaries to a number of clients in the UK and overseas. This broad expertise allows us to provide actuarial services covering a diverse range of products, clients, and regulatory issues.

Each client is allocated a professionally qualified team, headed by a senior actuary. By using cutting-edge modelling and analysis techniques, and clearly explaining the results, we help clients gain insight into their business performance.

Many insurance companies are still learning how best to implement risk-based capital assessments. We support clients in designing and embedding internal and regulatory capital assessment frameworks, guiding clients beyond number-crunching into making the models a valuable management tool.

Wide-ranging, expert support

We provide statutory actuarial functions to clients, covering areas such as statutory valuations, bonus recommendations, asset/liability analysis, and monitoring statutory capital. We also advise clients on a wide variety of financial reporting issues, including UK-GAAP, US-GAAP, statutory, and International Financial Reporting Standards, whether proposed or already adopted by the International Accounting Standards Board.

As the Financial Services Authority develops new proposals, we advise clients on the likely effects on their businesses and help them develop optimal strategies to incorporate the proposals into their operations.

For with-profit companies, we provide support for with-profit committees, assisting in drafting Principles and Practices of Financial Management (PPFMs) and helping to monitor compliance. We also offer support to audit functions in the role as reviewing actuary.
